 “You are salt of the earth. . . You are the light of the world . . .Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
These words of our Savior are not empty words in this fellowship. In fact, we take them very seriously. The church has, for too long, been in the community and yet separated from the community. We believe it is time for the church to have a heart and a passion for the neighborhoods, and more importantly the people, around them.
Arlington Baptist Church is committed to fulfilling its mandate found in the word of God. We want to be a church of great worship, great fellowship, and commitment to the work of discipleship; but we also desire to reach our community as a church on mission and concerned about the salvation of the individual.
Therefore, we are prayerfully seeking opportunities to minister in the name of Jesus to our community. We want to build relationships with people and to touch physical needs knowing that in doing these things we are living out the love of Christ before them. This is our greatest opportunity to not only touch this community with Christ’s love, but to see them come to eternal life through trusting His redemptive work. This is our vision and desire at Arlington Baptist Church.
